Jackson Pollock, was an influential American painter and a major figure in the abstract expressionist movement. During his lifetime, Pollock enjoyed considerable fame and notoriety. He was regarded as a mostly reclusive artist. Most of Pollocks work involves splashes of paint on canvas. I think that his work communicates emotions. His work never looks calm which could reflect his personal life, he uses a lot of black paint which could represent that he was in a dark place. Also his work looks very dense which mean you can just about see the canvas that the has painted on.
